Ball, tree and pigeon. For weeks, three words fill up everyday life and then, bit by bit, the words come raining down. City words. Digger, car, dog, metro, penguin, home, umbrella, Danube, coffee, cocoa, avocado. Cow and tractor are holiday words. Ocean is for sure.
What is it like to grow up in the city? What rhythm do city words have? Where is my friend the raven flying to? I like to ride the taxi and the elevator to the metro, I want to ring the doorbell of people I don’t know and walk into every entrance, I want to wear hats, beanies and helmets, climb onto every scooter and say “hello” to the people I choose. Often it is very noisy in the city, I am noisy myself and from time to time I am very quiet, watching the ducks.

Ball, tree, pigeon, ball, tree, digger, ball, tree, penguin. The songs, stories and poems in this performance originate from the vocabulary of children between one and a half and three years old.

The young audience is free to move around inbetween the performers, exploring space, dance, song, rhythm and language at whim.
